Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be involved in one of the major regeneration projects happening in London right now? Want to experience the public sector side of things or progress your career to the next level of Senior Planning Officer?
Working on major applications within the local authority, you will be managing a team of junior officers and reporting directly to the Development Manager. In this role you will need to demonstrate your experience in managing large-scale applications and need to approach development with a forward thinking attitude.
On a daily basis you will be coordinating pre-app agreements with councilors, negotiating S106 agreements with developers while continuing to build strong relationships as well as oversee the work of junior Officers and junior members of the team.
Ideally you will have experience in either a consultancy or public sector role managing high profile and complex applications. You will have a particular interest in the regeneration of London and look to promote positive development in the capital.
MRTPI membership is preferred however not necessary and you will have a planning related degree on top of planning related experience over the last 3 years.
The client is looking for some of the brightest individuals who have a strong understanding of the planning system and can drive the council forward.
They reward exceptionally well and are looking to help shape the borough while working in tandem with developers and the local community to promote the creation of spaces that boost the local economy and offer affordable housing for residents.
